Its a Love story – Amna & Sajid’s Sneak Peak!

I feel so privileged when I get a chance to document a couple SOH-IN-LOVE. It was awesome working with these two childhood sweethearts. Almost like I had met them long before.

Amna booked me in April from UK, 5 months before her wedding so I’m available on her dates! ^_^ Later we met in August when she came back and we instantly clicked! After Flipping through hundreds of different wedding photojournalist magazines, She told me how she had always imagined her BIG day to be photographed – And chose me.

“My Venue wasn’t decided, my dress wasn’t ordered – but I KNEW the photographer had to be YOU.”
Were her words.

It was my first DIY wedding, which I utterly enjoyed! 😀

Later I photographed their bridal lurrve session just the way I love – ofcource during the golden love hourrr! 😀 I was HELL Happie that day and so glad to be a part of their heartfelt occasion!

Wait up for the complete blog!
=)
Till then,

A & H’s Mehndi sneak peak!

‘A’ contacted me in April and got her hall booked when she found out I was available to shoot her Mehndi on that date.
Meeting her and her fiance was an absolute treat as these guys matched my personality perfectly!
:) Anyways, I’m so glad I shot their Mehndi and Baraat, It was awesome bumping into ole clients and wonderful to be a part of their festive event.

And sometimes its that ONE shot that makes the shoot and for me – it was this one.

What an awesome connection between this happie couple and me! I don’t remember the song that played at the back but I remember asking them to enjoy it & be themselves! AND Whoa – what a fun filled shot this turned out to be! 😀

One of the reasons I love my job!

{You & Me: Nauroze & Rida’s Reception}

Cause it’s you and me and all of the people with nothing to do
Nothing to prove
And it’s you and me and all of the people
And I don’t know why, I can’t keep my eyes off of you
~ Lifehouse.

On a very rainy evening, I was visited by Nauroze. He had called time and again and been a persistent client; who wanted to book me as his ‘wedding photographer’ for his Reception. I was already pre-booked with a three day in a row wedding prior his date so I was a little uncertain to take his booking but decided to meet him in person and decide. The meeting went smoothly and he an aficionado for my ‘Moment-o-graphy.’ Since, we were on the same wavelength I decided that it would be great fun!

On another very chilly and extremely foggy night, I reached Regalia ahead of the time (G-6) for the Reception coverage.  What I saw was very overwhelming, Noroze and Rida had a connection; they could read each other’s minds and they talked via looks and secret smiles. Their comfort level assured me that I was here to do a great job capturing their love for each other.

Her shy smile deepened when she heard him. When his eyes fell on her, joy danced in his eyes. When she wasn’t around, he couldn’t resist a chance to bring up her name..

Hes the kind of guy who’ll put you at ease with his confidence and charm…and he clearly knows how to make her melt & Rida, You’re Gorrrrrrge, f’real! MashAllah! :)

Noroz & Rida: You are two of the most wonderful people and I felt incredibly lucky to document your wedding day. Thank you from the bottom of my heart of sharing your lives (and amazing families) with me and allowing me to see just how promising your future is together.

Stay photogenic,

All the shadowy corners of me.

Heys! Hows everyone?
July has been FANTASTIC so far though I did hurt my toe but Its much better now (thanks to all the antibiotics). Since the 8th of July – 12th, Nabia and I have been crazy shooting. A 3 day event was a Baluchi wedding, full of colors, emotions and raptures. The remaining 2 days were a reception dinner & a Mayon (where we ended up running into some old school acquaintances).

We resume shoots next week til the end of July and meetups from the 1st week of August for Sept/Oct & Nov.

So many details to fill you guys with:
– We have introduced *Storybook* Albums – { Getting very good responses from clients bout em! 😀 }
– Gift certificates

Shot post sunset at f9 park – amidst the mosquitoes and the humidity, we had a great time with the couple, who dazzled us with their zeal for photography and unmatched patience. 😀 I can’t wait to start working on their couple session along with the getting ready.

The meet-up guideline: How to book me!

Hey guys,
As you know I prefer meeting my clients beforehand; it serves as an ice-breaking session. We also get to know whether our personalities click and if we would want to seal the deal.
So since I’d be resuming meetings from next week , I decided to compile this post which would serve as a pre-requisite for meet-ups.

Before coming to see me, if you go through these – it would be AWESOME, since we’d both end up being on the same page.

We, at Rammal Mehmud Photography are quite indulgent in On-location Sessions merely because:

  • We believe it contributes in building a bond with your wedding day.
  • We want to incorporate that into our moment-o-graphy; which means we document each moment in between the moments by utilizing your venue’s ambiance and locations to the max.
  • If your venue isn’t picturesque enough. You are to make alternate arrangements. We shall not be held responsible.
  • We only offer photography services, so we are not liable if you’re not able to find the perfect point for the shoot. We however, can visit the venue with you before the shoot to generate ideas for the bridal session –  which too depends on the fact that you have confirmed your booking by making a deposit of 50% of the total amount.
  • We do not change backdrops and superimpose elements in your photo-shoots pictures. We are quite engaged in ‘On location’ shoots which entail scenic gardens, pool sides, hotel lobbies and anything to do with making your shots stand out. No – hotel rooms do not fall under this category (UNLESS we want to make use of the mirror).
  • Please follow my blog and my Like page, to check out my style of photography. I am ME and I own my own style. If you want me to copy someone’s then I’m sorry you’re definitely at the wrong place. I do appreciate ‘ideas’ but only hire me for – ME.
  • Please do-not compare Me or my packages with other photographers, theres a reason why I’m different.
  • All prices of the packages are final, no discounts will be offered.

  1. Before the actual meetup, it would be best that you catch up with us on *Skype*. My id being *vrm.photography*. During that session, we can talk a bit bout your day, how you want everything to be and OF-COURSE the albums that we include in the package.
  2. Before paying for the selected bridal photography package, please ask for the *Terms & Conditions* form, so that we can discuss it together (Regarding your opinion on it)  so there is no ambiguity at both ends. We would expect you to take a print out and submit the filled form, 2 weeks before your event.
  3. Do expect a mail from our end, post your 50% deposition. The mail would enlist the contents of the package  for both of us (in black & white), just to let you know of what you’ve paid for and what I’m expected of.
  4. The Hi-resolution pictures shall be stored in our archiving system for a Year from wedding date. On approaching the 1 year anniversary; you can either choose to pay us an archiving fee or buy the Hi-resolution lot. If either option isn’t chosen then the folder shall be removed from our backup.
  5. Please go through this old post of mine too.

Hope this helps you make an informed decision! =)

“My dates have been finalized and the first thing I did was come here and inform u :| I cant risk losing u :|”

Thats an excerpt from a client’s mail.

You have no idea how overwhelmed I felt after reading this! It was perfect – this girl wanted me to photograph her since LAST summer and was waiting for her BIG day to arrive.
As it turns out, I wouldn’t be able to click her BIG day after all. Reason being: The dates she mentioned are already booked for MARCH.

So I decided to blog about it.

The perks of booking dates ahead of time:
* Due to the ample amount of time till your wedding, you and I can actually sit down & discuss ideas.
* I can visit the venue with you and plan certain shots around specific venue details to help you optimize the best of your big day, So when you will reflect back, the shots will help you remember the nervous jitters and the giggles in between.
* I can assess the level of comfort level you have with you spouse and translate that better into an image.
* I can get creative with my lighting arrangements and give your shots an oomph factor!
* When the couple meets me beforehand, the initial hesitation is also eliminated as this meetup acts as an ice breaking session.
* There would be NO date-overlapping fear! 😛

Hope this helps you make an informed decision!

Loved documenting their moments and their moments in between!

Opposites Attract.

Lucky to be in love.. just could be Ali & Sana’s song, cause they were soo cute together! :) MA.

When Sana visited me, we were over joyed at the rapid fire round of ideas we would try out for their Casual Shoot. As the shoot was to mark their First Wedding Anniversary celebration, She prepared me to guide her hubby as he’s way camera shy and often finds it very difficult to be photographed. For these images, I asked them to bring some picture frames or albums containing pics of their wedding and the honeymoon. Since it was their first anniversary, I wanted the shoot to give a feel of them reflecting back upon the amazing ONE year, they had spent with each other. :) I also picked some pink roses and balloons on my way to be used as colorful props!

The venue we picked out earlier was changed due to the fact that it was a public holiday, so we arranged to meetup at 1969. 😀

I was well received by Sana with a warm hug and a welcoming Salam from Ali over his Coffee mug. To make most of the time before sunset, we started the clicking game..

The weather was beautiful & there was a chill in the air, But that didn’t keep them from enjoying the day. I started clicking and to my surprise, their chemistry sparked before my lens and the comfort level I had developed with Sana; had been mutually transfered to Ali too! I was so overwhelmed to be a part of their day.

Sana says, “We can be so different at times!” Guess that’s why they say ”Opposites Attract!” But to me opposites are infact complementaries! <3 :)

Thought would add a behind the scene shot too! 😀 Here I was explaining to Sana & Ali how I would be photographing them and how they are supposed to forget that I’m around. Shot taken by Nabia! :)

Its such an indescribable warm, fuzzy feeling but makes me love documenting LOVE all the more!

Stay Photogenic,

I call it ‘Love’.

I just think the song by Lionel Richie, “I call it love” fits here perfectly.

I met Farwa through a friend in May and she had me click a casual shoot of hers with her sister. It was amazing how our personalities complemented each other. At that time, we never knew I would be shooting her BIG day too. Anyways, when her dates were finalized, Farwa and I were mailing each other *ideas* like crazy – on a daily basis, to incorporate ’em into her BIG day’s shoot.

The day arrived, Farwa looked delicately gorgeous in her beige and plum jora from Fashion Ka Ghar. She had gotten her makeup done from Sobia Hanif, Chaklala. I found this amazing Mehndi Artist, Kanwal – on facebook and refered Farwa to her. She adorned the young bride’s hands with such lovely and intricate henna patterns that left a happy vermilion stain behind; which you can see for yrself! :)

When Farwa called me to click her Nikkah & also for an outdoor photoshoot – I didn’t think twice. I have always loved natural, ambient light rather than strobes [ Personal preference, really! :) ] I had already photographed Farwa and we had become really good friends. Now the surprise bit! 😀 She was getting married to my old classmate, which meant old friend re-union aswell! I was sooper excited!

Rohail, my classfellow – said he couldn’t believe he had such a talented friend! Little did you know back then haha! 😀 He was always the shy, but helpful type. So, naturally I was expecting that I would have to guide him a lot to capture the essence of their love, but when Farwa walked in, Rohail opened up and I captured their love effortlessly.  Since, the barat was a little late, the yearning and the wait was over! They loved being together and it shows how grateful they were to have each other.

A few weeks ago; My sister and I picked up Farwa from work, grabbed Dunkin Donuts and hit the road to see the venue, and explored it for the most perfect & photogenic spots that would describe their day years after. However, the Ba’arat was a bit late and then there was so much chaos that we almost didn’t get time to click their couple shoot. Then, Me and my sister sneaked the bride and the groom out and did their shoot while every ones was having lunch! 😀 I felt so invincible for accomplishing what I deemed as impossible, at that time 😀 The couple was so supportive! <3

I was deeply honored to be a part of their love’s celebration.

On the 13th November, Farwa Baloch became Farwa Rohail.

Its beautiful how a moment welcomes us into a whole new life and changes everything completely. Such a pretty transition. :) MashaAllah.
Believing in these moments,
I wish Farwa and Rohail – the best that LIFE can offer!

‘I call it love’ – sneak preview..

Sneak peak of yesterday’s Nikkah shoot. I had so much fun! The couple was the cutest ever, MashaAllah.

Many congrats to Rohail & Farwa on tying the knot. Maybe I’m on a lucky streak or the couples that I’m photographing are LOVELY. Just lovely. Did I mention lovely? 😀

I met farwa through a friend in May and she got a casual shoot done. At that time, we never knew I would be shooting her BIG day too. Anyways, when her dates were done, farwa and I were mailing eachother *ideas* like crazy – on a daily basis, to incorporate em into her BIG day’s shoot.

Now I can’t wait to start working on the shots, she selects tomorrow.
Soooper excited! 😀
